BEHIND ANDINO
-
Not necessarily. We always keep some room for walk-ins, so you're welcome to drop by. Our Cantina (Bar) is walk-in only, unless it’s been reserved for a private function or by special request. If you want to guarantee a table, we always recommend booking ahead.
-
The Cantina is our casual bar space, perfect for drinks, tacos and bar snacks. The Comedor is our dining room, where you can settle in and explore the full Andino menu.
-
Not necessarily! It’s one of the biggest misconceptions about Latin American food. We use chillies throughout our cooking, but chilli doesn’t always mean heat. Some dishes have a kick, many don’t, and we’re always happy to point you in the right direction.
-
Asado means barbecue, but it’s much more than that. It’s the South American tradition of gathering around the grill, where meats and vegetables are cooked over high heat and flame to develop a smoky, charred flavour. Our Asado menu brings that tradition to the table with dishes made for sharing.
-
Yes. Our entire food menu is gluten free. Every tostada, totopo (corn chips), tortilla, pupusa or empanada, is hand-made in house using corn flour. That’s why our menu is naturally gluten-free.
-
Absolutely. We have plenty of vegetarian dishes across the menu, from snacks and tacos to Asado plates. We also have vegan options, and some dishes can be easily adapted for vegan guests.
-
Every Tuesday from 4pm, we switch things up a little bit, with an extended taco menu at special prices, alongside selected snacks, sharing plates and dishes from the Asado grill. Plus, you’ll find special prices on some drinks too. Walk-ins welcome.
-
Of course. Andino is a bar as much as it is a restaurant. Pull up at the Cantina for a margarita, pisco sour, wine, beer and plenty more — no dinner required. We also have Happy Hour on selected drinks, Wednesday to Saturday from 4–5pm.
-
We sure do! Happy Hour runs Wednesday to Saturday from 4–5pm, with selected wines for $7, schooners of tap beer for $6, and frozen margaritas for $12. The perfect excuse for an early knock-off
-
Absolutely. For groups of 7 or more, get in touch with us directly at hola@barandino.com.au, and we’ll help organise your table and make sure everything is set for your group.
-
Absolutely. We can host functions in our Cantina, Comedor (dining room), or arrange a full venue hire for larger celebrations and events. We can tailor food and drink options to suit the occasion — get in touch at hola@barandino.com.au and we’ll help you plan it.
Andino means “from the Andes”—a name that reflects our South American roots and the spirit behind what we do.
Inspired by a culture where eating together is a celebration, we bring people closer through food, warm hospitality and shared experiences.
We’re not just a restaurant—we’re a bar too. Come in for a margarita and a few tacos, stay for a full meal, or simply settle in for a drink.
Our menu draws inspiration from across Latin America, from tacos and empanadas to ceviche and meats cooked over the grill. Fresh ingredients, simple cooking and bold, expressive flavours—all made to be shared. Order together, eat together and enjoy it together.
Behind the bar, the focus is on margaritas, sours and contemporary cocktails, alongside a thoughtful selection of wines and beers chosen to complement the food and the mood.
More than anything, Andino is about connection: warm hospitality, lively energy and a welcoming atmosphere. A place to drop in for a drink, settle in for a meal, stay for a while and leave planning your next visit.
